<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Why Surf Morocco in 2025?</span></strong></span></p>
<p class="" data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">The waves of Morocco continue to attract surfers from around the world thanks to its consistent Atlantic swells, warm winter weather, and laid-back coastal vibes. With improved infrastructure, more surf camps, and easy access from Europe, a surf trip to Morocco in 2025 is more appealing than ever. </span></p>
<p data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Morocco remains one of the <strong><a href="https://www.mywavefinder.com/10-cheap-surfing-destinations/" data-wpel-link="internal">cheapest surfing destinations</a> </strong>with budget accommodation starting around US$10 per night and restaurant meals for $3.</span></p>
<p data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Not only does Morocco have some of the best waves in the world, you will also be immersed in the rich Berber and Islamic culture which are still very present despite recent tourism development.</span></p>

<h2 data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Sidi Ifni and Mirleft</strong></span></h2>
<p data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">About 3 hours south of Agadir is the town of Sidi Ifni, a local town bordered by a fairly big harbor. 45 minutes north of Sidi Ifni is Mirleft, a smaller and quieter Berber town. Between Sidi Ifni and Mirleft, dozens of surf spots with empty lineups on most days. A true surfing adventurer&#8217;s paradise. Beaches like Tamhrouchte, Legzira and Plage d&#8217;entrée will be more popular amongst surfers but along the coastline are a few coves like Aftass and El Wafi which are usually empty or slightly crowded at most.</span></p>

<p data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Taghazout is at the heart of the surfing scene in Morocco as most of the popular and mediatized waves are located around this trendy surf town. Anchor Point being the most known wave in Morocco, there are also several other world-class point breaks within driving distance such as Desert Point, Boilers and Killers.</span></p>

Imsouane is extremely lively and has become a hotspot in the Moroccan surfing scene. On most days, it is very normal to see hundreds of surfers in the water at the same time, making it a bit overwhelming. Despite that, the point is long enough to handle big crowds and it remains on of the softest and most gentle wave in Morocco, perfect for beginners.</span></p>

This small surf town is still very underdeveloped and has some world-class waves right by its doorstep. On good days, point breaks like La Grotte and La Couronne generate long and peeling right-hand waves with only a fraction of the Taghazout crowd.</span></p>

The city’s main point break is a fast, hollow right-hander that breaks over reef and can hold serious size. On the right swell, it offers barrels that rival some of the best in the world. Safi is not your typical Moroccan surf town. It is an industrial city with a huge port and close to 700 000 habitants. </span></p>
<p data-start="975" data-end="1281"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">If the heavy breaks of Safi are a bit too much, keep heading north towards Oualidia and El Jadida. Along the way, many empty peaks will reveal themselves right by the roadside and El Jadida has a bay which is usually much more sheltered, offering smaller peeling waves, depending on the swell direction.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">The best way to get to Taghazout is by flying to Agadir airport then hiring a taxi or renting a car. Taghazout is about 50 minutes away from Agadir and 3 hours away from Marrakech. <h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Anchor Point</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Anchor Point is the most iconic surf spot near Taghazout and probably the best wave in Morocco, period. It is a great point break that works best on north westerly swells with a lower tide. Anchor Point is within walking distance from Taghazout and is suitable for experienced surfers.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Reef</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Best tide</strong> : Low</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Skill level</strong> : Advanced</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal swell direction</strong> : NW</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal wind direction</strong> : NE</span></li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Killers</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">A few hundred meters up from Anchoir Point is Killers, another epic point break which is not quite as radical as Anchor Point. Killers catches more swell than the surrounding spots and can be suitable for intermediate surfers.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right and left</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Reef and rocks</span></li>

<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal wind direction</strong> : E</span></li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Boilers</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Boilers is an epic and powerful point break with direct exposure to NW swells. It breaks over a shallow reef and currents can be strong and dangerous for inexperienced surfers. There are also several see urchins to watch for.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Reef</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Best tide</strong> : Any</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Skill level</strong> : Intermediate and advanced</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Optimal swell direction</strong> : NW</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Optimal wind direction</strong> : E</span></li>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Panoramas</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Another awesome right-hand point break, Panoramas is softer than Anchor Point and Boiler, therefore more suitable for beginners.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Sand</span></li>
