<h2></h2>
<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Summary</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Sidi Kaouki is a wonderful surfing destination that remains a hidden gem in Morocco. This small surf town is located about 30 minutes south of Essaouira and allows surfers to get away from the crowds of <strong><a href="https://www.mywavefinder.com/destination/taghazout-morocco-surf-guide/" data-wpel-link="internal">Taghazout</a> </strong>or Imsouane while keeping the same amazing waves and swells.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Sidi Kaouki has a beach break that is suitable for beginners and surfers of all levels as well as a few point breaks like La Grotte and La Couronne which will please the more experienced surfers.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">With its laidback vibe, stunning landscapes and uncrowded lineups, Sidi Kaouki is a surfers favorite in Morocco.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>When to surf Sidi Kaouki</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">The best time to surf Sidi Kaouki is from November to March with the Atlantic swells being more consistent and sizeable. During the summer months, the ocean will be flat on most days.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">In winter, temperatures will also be cooler and more pleasant as the summer heat can be very intense.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>When to surf Mozambique</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">The best time to surf Mozambique is during the austral winter season which lasts from June to September. That is when Mozambique receives the most consistent swells and favorable winds. However, there are waves and great opportunities to surf Mozambique throughout the rest of the year as well.</span></p>

<p><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Ponta do Ouro</span></strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Ponta do Ouro is arguably the best and most famous surf spot in Mozambique. On a good day, this wave can peel for hundreds of meters, offering one of Africa’s longest rides. However, it’s known to be fickle and works best with the right swell and wind combination.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Tofinho</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Tofinho is a beautiful, reliable beach with a reef and sandy bottom mix. It produces both left and right waves, but the left-hander off the point is the most sought after. Tofinho is a great place to base yourself for a surf trip, with friendly locals and a laid-back vibe.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Getting there</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Ponta do Ouro is right next to the South African border and many south Africans drive all the way up there. Many others fly up to Maputo and drive around. Mozambique is a fairly long country, most of the good surf is in the southern region.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong><a id="summary"></a>Summary</strong></span></h2>
<p data-start="256" data-end="552"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">If you’re searching for uncrowded waves, consistent swells, and year-round sunshine, surfing in Senegal might just be your next dream trip. Nestled at the westernmost point of Africa, Dakar offers a unique surf experience that combines powerful Atlantic swells with vibrant local culture.</span></p>
<p data-start="554" data-end="931"><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Senegal was first introduced to the global surf community through the iconic film <em data-start="636" data-end="656">The Endless Summer</em> in 1966. Despite this, it remains off the beaten path for most surfers due to the region’s occasional political instability and limited surf tourism infrastructure. This means fewer crowds, pristine waves, and the chance to score world-class surf almost to yourself.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">The famous surf spot featured in Endless Summer which is also the most consistent reef break around Dakar. <p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Another pretty heavy reef break that produces hollow lefts and rights. Doesn&#8217;t work as consistently as N&#8217;gor, but when it does, it is epic.</span></p>

<h4><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Club Med</strong></span></h4>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">This reliable wave breaks best at mid to high tide, providing smooth rights perfect for carving and occasional hollow sections. Accessible and less crowded than the more famous spots.</span></p>

<h2></h2>
<h2><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Summary</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Here is a good one for the most adventurous surfer out there. If you are into surfing in empty line-ups with countless amount of seals and dolphins while discovering a friendly culture, Namibia could be a good option for you.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><a href="https://www.mywavefinder.com" data-wpel-link="internal"><strong>To find the best surfing destination for you, try our WaveFinder search engine!</strong></a></span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Apart from the few Skeleton Bay endless barrel videos that leaked the internet, Namibia remains a pretty untouched surfing destination. The cities still have a strong European influence but as soon as you escape them, you will find an endless coastline with huge surfing potential…and barely anyone out.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">While Skeleton Bay is a very fickle and tricky spot that only works on large swells, you will find some consistent breaks near the Swakopmund area. For the rest, it is all still up to you to discover. Beginners will have a bit of a harder time here and would most definitely prefer learning with a surf school in South Africa.</span></p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

<p data-start="392" data-end="657"><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">This volcanic archipelago sits in the Atlantic Ocean, about 570 kilometers (350 miles) west of Senegal, and is made up of 10 islands, each exposed to different swell and wind directions. Surfing here is about adventure, variety, and escaping the crowds.</span><a id="when-to-go"></a></p>

<h2><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>When to go</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">The best time to surf Cape Verde is from November to March with bigger and more consistent swells. <h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Getting to Taghazout</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">The best way to get to Taghazout is by flying to Agadir airport then hiring a taxi or renting a car. Taghazout is about 50 minutes away from Agadir and 3 hours away from Marrakech. There are also shuttles running from several cities through <strong><a href="https://www.souktosurf.com/" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="external noopener noreferrer">Souk to Surf</a></strong>.</span><a id="safety"></a></p>

<h2><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Surf spots in Taghazout</strong></span></h2>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Anchor Point</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Anchor Point is the most iconic surf spot near Taghazout and probably the best wave in Morocco, period. It is a great point break that works best on north westerly swells with a lower tide. Anchor Point is within walking distance from Taghazout and is suitable for experienced surfers.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Reef</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Best tide</strong> : Low</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Skill level</strong> : Advanced</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal swell direction</strong> : NW</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal wind direction</strong> : NE</span></li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Killers</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">A few hundred meters up from Anchoir Point is Killers, another epic point break which is not quite as radical as Anchor Point. Killers catches more swell than the surrounding spots and can be suitable for intermediate surfers.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right and left</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Reef and rocks</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Best tide</strong> : Low</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Skill level</strong> : Intermediate and advanced</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal swell direction</strong> : NW</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Optimal wind direction</strong> : E</span></li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Boilers</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Boilers is an epic and powerful point break with direct exposure to NW swells. It breaks over a shallow reef and currents can be strong and dangerous for inexperienced surfers. There are also several see urchins to watch for.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Reef</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Best tide</strong> : Any</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Skill level</strong> : Intermediate and advanced</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Optimal swell direction</strong> : NW</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Optimal wind direction</strong> : E</span></li>
</ul>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><span style="font-size: 14pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Panoramas</span></strong></span></h3>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;">Another awesome right-hand point break, Panoramas is softer than Anchor Point and Boiler, therefore more suitable for beginners.</span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Wave direction</strong> : Right</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Bottom</strong> : Sand</span></li>
<li><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: georgia, palatino, serif;"><strong>Best tide</strong> : Low</span></li>

<h2></h2>
<h2><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Summary</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">South Africa definitely is the number one surfing destination on the African continent and if you are gonna be around the Cape Town area, Muizenberg is a very good option for a surf trip.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">This little town is located in False Bay, less than 30 minutes away from Cape Town. Muizenberg has a unique culture with a bit of a European influence that will most likely charm anyone making the trip down here. Furthermore, Muizenberg is blessed with consistent ground swells and many types of breaks to please all kind of surfers.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">This town is known to offer <strong>optimal surfing conditions for beginners</strong> with many mellow waves and longboarding spots</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Away from the city noise, Muizenberg can still get very crowded when conditions are good. If the swell doesn’t quite reach into the bay or if the wind is bad you can always drive on the other side of the Cape Peninsula (30 minutes) and check conditions at Noordhoek Beach.</span><a id="when-to-go"></a></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span></p>
<figure id="attachment_943" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-943" style="width: 1200px" class="wp-caption alignnone"><img data-recalc-dims="1" loading="lazy" decoding="async" class="size-full wp-image-943" src="https://i0.wp.com/www.mywavefinder.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/tobias-fischer-zZLQzxk_MOU-unsplash-e1621612462172.jpg?resize=1170%2C780&#038;ssl=1" alt="Cape Town south africa surf" width="1170" height="780" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-943" class="wp-caption-text">Photo by Tobias Fischer</figcaption></figure>

<h2><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>When to go</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">The best time to surf Muizenberg, South Africa depends on what kind of conditions you are looking for. Ground swells push into the bay all year long. However, waves will be bigger and more consistent from May to October, during the Austral winter months while summer will offer milder temperatures with still some decent surfing conditions.</span></p>

<h4><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Muizenberg</strong></span></h4>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">A good spot for beginners and long boarders with fat and sloppy waves most of the year. On bigger winter days, swell can reach well into the bay and produce more powerful walls. Beware for crowds and sharks.</span></p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h4><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Dangers</strong></span></h4>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Right next to Muizenberg is this nice reef break which tend to be quite localized. Waves here will always be bigger and more powerful than down at the beach and break on the left. Respect locals and have a great surfing etiquette.</span></p>

<h4><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Kommetjie</strong></span></h4>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Inner Kom and Outer Kom and two powerful and fun reef breaks located next to Noordhoek beach. Not suitable for beginners as it is fairly easy to get caught on the inside.</span></p>

<h2><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>Summary</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">J-Bay does not need any more presentation. With its dreamy right-hand point breaks barreling for miles, there is potential here for the wave of a lifetime.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>To find to best surfing destination for you, <a href="https://www.mywavefinder.com" data-wpel-link="internal">try our WaveFinder search engine!</a></strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Located in the middle of the South-African coastline between Cape St.Francis and Port Elizabeth which were first made popular by the movie The Endless Summer in 1966, Jeffrey’s Bay has become Africa’s most iconic surf spot.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">Despite a shark attack during the finals in 2015, the World Surf League still comes here every winter for the prestigious J-Bay Open.</span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><br />
<span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">On top of having excellent surfing conditions, the town of J-Bay is very backpacker friendly and lively. All the ingredients are gathered for a successful surf trip to remember. Even if experienced surfers will probably be able to take better advantage of this world-class surf spot, beginners are also welcome and will easily find a surf school to get into the sport.<a id="when-to-go"></a></span></p>

<h2><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;"><strong>When to go</strong></span></h2>
<p><span style="font-family: georgia, palatino, serif; font-size: 14pt;">The best time to surf Jeffrey&#8217;s Bay (J-Bay), South Africa is pretty much any time of the year, depending on what kind of conditions you are after. Winter will get bigger and a bit more consistent but obviously colder, while summer will be smaller and windier, with milder temperatures.</span></p>
